Rupnagar DC Conducts Surprise checking of Various Offices at Mini Secretariat

In line with the revised office timings introduced by the Punjab Government under the directions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, Deputy Commissioner Rupnagar, Aaditya Dachalwal, conducted a surprise inspection of various government offices located at the Mini Secretariat today. The initiative aims to ensure that citizens receive government services from 7:30 AM onwards, especially during the summer season.
During the inspection, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed the attendance of staff, arrangements made for the public, and the overall functioning of the offices. He directed all officers and employees to strictly adhere to the instructions issued by the Punjab Government and ensure that visitors do not face any inconvenience while accessing services.
Dachalwal stated that the change in office timings has been implemented keeping in view the rising temperatures, with the primary objective of providing services to the public during the morning hours and protecting them from extreme heat.

He further emphasized that the district administration is committed to ensuring that all offices start functioning on time and that public grievances and tasks are addressed on a priority basis. He warned that strict disciplinary action would be taken against any officers or employees found absent without prior approval or showing negligence towards their duties.
The Deputy Commissioner also made it clear that any instance of laxity or violation of instructions in any office will lead to appropriate action against the concerned officials and staff.
While instructing all officers, he urged them to prioritize public welfare and discharge their duties with utmost responsibility, sincerity, and dedication to make government services more efficient and citizen-friendly.
