Career speakers cleared student doubts during Mega Career Fest

Patiala Sahodaya School Complex comprising of 58 member CBSE schools from in and around Patiala organised a Mega Career Fest at Budha Dal Sports Complex, Patiala here today.
The purpose behind organizing this mega event was to give exposure to the students about plethora of career options and to bring CBSE schools at common platform and scale down on a common understanding amongst schools, keeping pace with the current education scenario and strengthening the values of inclusion, tolerance, empathy and religious harmony.
The fest provided a broad overview of the numerous career options available to students of various streams with the introduction of career planning . It exposed the students from classes IX to XII to the opportunities in the range of professional fields from law, business management, bio technology , fashion designing etc covering not only the more conventional career such as civil services, law, engineering, medicine as well as host of new options available.
The programme began by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp. The guests of honour for the occasion were Lt. Gen. NPS Hira, Chairman Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC), Dr. Paramjit Singh Jaswal , Vice Chancellor , Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest NPS Hira quoted that, “The mission behind such events is to accomplish a benchmark in education and to polish hidden knacks”. He further said that such endevours empower the professional competency of teachers and encourage healthy interaction and mutual appreciation and admiration for each other.
The eminent speakers had an interactive session with the students and answered their queries very intelligently. They interacted and guided the gathering of large number of students and cleared their doubts, apprehensions and also gave them useful tips for higher and professional studies.
Dr. P.S Jaswal inspired the career speakers and also complemented and congratulated the organisers.
Students from 14 schools had put up the stalls to generate awareness among fellow students and assist them in identifying higher career options open for each subject streams, the institutions offering these courses and skills they need to equip themselves for the world of work.
The fest was witnessed thousands of students and their parents. The program came to an end with the vote of thanks by V.K Tiwari , Principal DAV Public School, Patiala .
Lakshya, Continental Group of institutions, Edutrip , Ratna Sagar , KIPS , Wonderskool and many more had put up the stalls to inform and update the students.
