The Patiala Management Association (PMA) successfully organized an insightful Knowledge Session on “Investing in Start-Ups: Risks and Rewards,” led by CA Sahil Makkar, Chairman & CEO of Punjab Angels Network for the members, residents of the royal city Patiala. It was well attended by the members, guests at Hotel Montage.

The session aimed to educate attendees on the nuances of angel investing, offering a deep dive into various aspects of startup investments.

Sanjay Gupta, Secretary Patiala Management Association and executive team welcomed the key note speaker CA Sahil Makkar and delivered the welcome address. Adviser Parvesh Mangla inducted new members into PMA family.

Later, CA Sahil Makkar shared his expertise on crucial topics including the fundamentals of investing, the concept and importance of angel investing, different stages of startup growth, and the specific criteria used to evaluate potential investment opportunities. The session also covered essential aspects of managing investment risks, understanding personal risk tolerance, and devising effective exit strategies.

Additionally, the session highlighted the importance of programs like the residency immersion program, which can provide valuable hands-on experience for investors looking to immerse themselves in the startup ecosystem.

The event was well-received by participants, providing valuable insights and practical knowledge about the intricacies of investing in start-ups.
