On October 7,2024 a meeting was held with the chief labor commissioner (CLC) at New Delhiwhere all associations jointly lodged a strong protest against the delayed and evasive approach of General Insurance Public Sector Association (GIPSA) and department of financial services (DFS) in resolving the WR issue.

“We emphatically emphasized that DFS and GIPSA should adhere to a time-bound process. We reiterated our demand for parity with LIC on wage revision, the settlement of the 14% employer contribution to the national pension scheme (NPS), and the implementation of a 30% uniform family pension, which should all be resolved at the earliest” said Trilok Singh, General Secretary, GIEAIA

“The Central Labour Commission (CLC) recognized the gravity of the situation and promptly intervened, holding constructive discussions with GIPSA and DFS officials to assess the progress made and steps taken so far “ added Trilok Singh.

“GIPSA informed that DFS has requested additional detailed information, which is currently being prepared and will be submitted very soon. DFS officials briefed on the developments since the last meeting and assured us that progress is heading in a positive direction” said Darshan Kumar Wadhwa, Secretary General, GIEAIA CL-1 Wing.
