GIEAIA lodges protest against Irrational Closures and Mergers of Offices; vehemently opposes management’s HR policies

“Today, General Insurance Employees’ All India Association (GIEAIA) lodges strong protest against Irrational Closures and Mergers of Offices in Oriental insurance Company‘s (OIC) Delhi regional office (RO) I. The association also raised Opposition to Transfers and Postings on a Pick-and-Choose Basis and demanded uniform HR Policies at All Levels” said Trilok Singh General Secretary, GIEAIA.

Earlier, a GIEAIA delegation representing Classes 1, 3, and 4, including Comrade Trilok Singh, Comrade Satish Jindal, Comrade Kailash Joshi, Comrade Neeraj Gautam, Comrade S.M. Kainthola, and Comrade B.S. Rawat, met with the OIC, DGM RO I, and RM (P) in Delhi. The delegation discussed several issues pertinent to employees and the industry.

“The GIEAIA delegation expressed serious concerns regarding the irrational closures and mergers of offices under DRO I. We reiterated our demand for the Management to engage in discussions with Check-Off qualified unions and associations before making such critical decisions. Furthermore, the delegation emphasized the need for a uniform policy on HR matters at all levels and strongly opposed transfers and postings based on a pick-and-choose approach” said Darshan Kumar Wadhwa, Secretary General, GIEAIA, Class 1 Wing.

“The GIEAIA delegation also urged the Management to implement regular training programs at every level to support skill development, enhance efficiency and productivity, and recognize employees and officers working in challenging conditions due to significant staff shortages” added Trilok Singh

“The DGM and RM (P) acknowledged the delegation’s views and assured us that they would address these issues with a positive approach” added Wadhwa

GIEAIA lodges protest against Irrational Closures and Mergers of Offices; vehemently opposes management’s HR policies. Trilok Singh further added that “GIEAIA leadership once again calls on its entire leadership to gather data on irrational closures and mergers of offices nationwide and to address these concerns with the respective ROs, giving these issues the priority and seriousness they deserve.”
