Awareness Rally taken out by Ropar Thermal Plant to Save Environment

To widely spread the appeal of Govt. of Punjab regarding not to burn Paddy stubble, the harm of burning stubble and benefits of not burning stubble to save the environment was publicized among thermal plant officers/ officials and school teachers and students of nearby villages by Chief Engineer/Guru Gobind Singh Super Thermal Plant(GGSSTP) Rupnagar.
In this regard 200 Pamphlets were distributed by Er. Harish Kumar Sharma, Chief Engineer/ GGSSTP, Rupnagar in the schools of villages Ghanauli, Ahmedpur, Dugri, Dakala, Malikpur, Bahadurpur, Daburji, and Lodhi Majra etc. and working staff of the schools was strongly appealed to help to disperse the message of these efforts of Govt. of Punjab and Thermal Plant Rupnagar amongst the general public, farmers & villagers etc.
To boost the enthusiasm regarding this appeal, an Awareness Cycle Rally was also conducted and was flagged off by Er. Harish Kumar Sharma, Chief Engineer/ GGSSTP, Rupnagar by showing green flag. Sr. students of Ropar Thermal Plant School of Nuhon Colony and Thermal plant officials warmly participated in this rally to spread the appeal among people / farmers distant villages to save environment not to burn paddy stubble.
