After court’s intervention, Punjab police acts tough against its own 2 GOs, 5 NGOs for facilitating gangster

The Punjab Government has suspended Gursher Singh Sandhu, DSP, along with six other police officers in the Lawrence Bishnoi interview case. They were all found guilty and placed under suspension with immediate effect for arranging an interview with gangster Lawrence Bishnoi on September 3-4,2022, while he was in the custody of the CIA Police Station, Kharar district SAS Nagar, Mohali.

As per the home department orders 2 gazetted officers (DSPs) and 5 non-gazetted officers (NGOs) namely

1.Gursher Singh, PPS, DSP

2.Sammar Vaneet, PPS, DSP

3.Sub Inspector Reena, CIA, Kharar

4.Sub Inspector (LR) Jagatpal Jangu, AGTF

5.Sub Inspector (LR) Shaganjit Singh

6.ASI Mukhtiar Singh

7.HC (LR) Om Parkash.

suspended with immediate effect.
