A workshop on the topic “Managing Work-Life Balance” was organized at IET Bhaddal Technical Campus

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and the Institution Innovation Council (IIC) Cell of IET Bhaddal Technical Campus in collaboration with the Department of Career Guidance, Lovely Professional University organized a workshop on the theme “Managing Work-Life Balance.” The keynote speaker for the workshop was Surya Vivek Narula, Assistant Professor at Lovely Professional University.
The program began with a welcome address by Pooja Sharma, HR Manager, who extended greetings to the keynote speaker, faculty and staff members. Following this, Narula, during his address, explained the importance of work-life balance from scientific, psychological and practical perspectives. He emphasized that in today’s fast-paced life—especially for individuals working in educational institutions and corporate sectors—maintaining a balance between professional pressure and personal life has become essential. According to him, if this balance is not maintained, it can adversely affect health and create obstacles in both work productivity and family relationships. During the session, he inspired the audience to lead a more balanced and healthy life through practical techniques such as self-reflection, mindfulness and self-assessment. An interactive session was also held, where faculty and staff members engaged with Narula by sharing their questions and insights.
At the conclusion of the workshop, Bhavanpreet Kaur, Coordinator of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell, extended a vote of thanks to the keynote speaker, faculty and staff members. Dr. S.S. Bindra, Registrar-cum-Director of the campus stated that the aim of the workshop was to familiarize faculty and staff with essential techniques and psychological methods for maintaining a balance between their professional and personal lives. He appreciated Dr. Gurpreet Singh, Principal of the Engineering Institute and the organizing team for arranging such a high-level workshop on an important topic.
On this occasion, Dr. Kanchan Sharma, Vishal Arora, and Sumer Khullar from the Department of Career Guidance, Lovely Professional University was also present. The chief guest was honored with a memento by the institute. Overall, the lecture proved to be both informative and inspirational.
