All the leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab will pay homage to the sacrifices of ‘Chote Sahibjadas’ on the occasion of Shaheedi Jor Mela on Sunday. In a joint press statement issued by state joint secretary Amandeep Singh Mohi and district president Jaswinder Singh Balara, AAP state president and MP Bhagwant Mann, Leader of Opposition (LoP) in Punjab Legislative Assembly Harpal Singh Cheema and party leadership will pay tribute at Gurudwara Fatehgarh Sahib, commemorating the unparalleled martyrdom of ‘Chote Sahibjadas’.
The leaders will pray to God to give them the courage to take the path shown by the Gurus, of fighting against the tyranny. They said that AAP leaders will not go there as a political leader, but as a humble Sikh and ordinary devotees to bow their heads before the martyrdom of the Sahibzaade. They said that AAP workers and leadership would pray to God to grant peace to the Modi government, so that it would listen to the millions of farmers of the country who were fighting for their rights and existence on the Delhi borders. “The Modi-led central government is so arrogant that it is not hearing the voice of ‘annadatas’, nor the voice of mothers, elders and small children who have been in the severe cold for the last one month,” said the leaders.
The leader said that today SAD, BJP and Congress were giving all kinds of misleading speeches to the people to save their political ground. “While AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal and all party leaders, ministers, MLAs and volunteers have been serving the farmers as a servant, the party has raised its voice in favor of the farmers on every front without any banner or flag,” he said. He added that AAP was not doing it for any political gain but on the path shown by our Gurus, of fighting against tyranny.
