AAP takes the lead; announces Punjab CM face

Aam admi party today (AAP) takes the lead in announcing its chief minister face for Punjab.
Today, the party supremo and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal reaches Mohali at an auditorium to announce the chief minister face for the upcoming Punjab assembly elections 2022.
“Bhagwant Mann is the aam admi party (AAP) chief ministerial candidate for Punjab” said Arvind Kejriwal, in a press meet. Bhagwant Mann , a member of parliament (MP) from Sangrur got 93.3 percent votes from the general public.
Announcing the results, Kejriwal said some people had voted for him even, though he had declared that he was not a candidate and these votes were declared invalid.Around 3 per cent votes were in the name of Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu, Kejriwal shared. “Everywhere I went, people would ask me about the party’s CM face. I would say that the party would choose a face that everyone will be proud of. We decided to conduct a poll so as to allow the people to choose their CM candidate. An astounding 93 per cent voters voted in favour of Bhagwant Mann,” he said, declaring him as the party’s CM face.
The auditorium erupted in cheers and slogan shouting as a montage on Bhagwant Mann played out on a giant screen. “People laughed when they see my face. But now they cry and say, save us,” Mann, a standup comic, said.
“People of Punjab will decide the Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) chief ministerial candidate for the upcoming assembly elections in the state, as he launched a phone number on which, he said, people can give their suggestions in this regard till January 17” declared Kejriwal on Thursday.
AAP’s poster on the televote said: “Janta chunegi apna CM (People will choose their Chief Minister). Call 7074870748.”
