After two weeks elite force NSG gets new director general

B. Sirinivasan, IPS (BH:92) has been appointed as the new Director General,National Security Guard (NSG), the country’s counter-terrorism force, according to a Personnel Ministry order.
The post of DG, NSG falls vacant on August 14,2024 after Appointments Committee of the Cabinet had approved the proposal of the Ministry of Home Affairs for Curtailment of tenure of Nalin Prabhat, IPS (AP:92) as Director General, National Security Guard (NSG) and has approved the inter-cadre deputation of Nalin Prabhat, a 1992-batch IPS officer from the Andhra Pradesh cadre, to the AGMUT (Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territories) Cadre.
Later he was appointed as Special DGP Jammu and Kashmir. Prabhat was appointed as the Director-General of National Security Guard (NSG), the country’s counter-terrorism force, in April 2024. Before that he was additional director general of CRPF.
