The Executive Director Prof. DK Singh AIIMS Bathinda and AIIMS administration had elaborate meetings with nursing officers on 10th and 11th December.

The demands of nursing officers were discussed in detail. Keeping a sympathetic view towards the demands, AIIMS Bathinda has agreed to the following demands of the nursing officers.

  1. It has been decided to provide 8 day off from duty in a month provided the nursing officers ensure that the patient care will not be affected and their work will be done according to their charter of duties.
  2. The administration has agreed that they will be provided leaves as per the CCS rules, and their leave applications shall be considered sympathetically
  3. They have also been assured that Institute body meeting will be held on priority, most likely by January 2024, to resolve the issue of the clearance of their probation. Subsequently, promotions of the eligible staff will also be done.

Thus the AIIMS administration has shown a very positive view on the demands of the nursing officers and has urged them to end their strike immediately. Despite the best efforts of the AIIMS administration, there is no sign of ending the strike by the nursing officers.
