AIIMS Bathinda started treatment under Ayushmann Bharat Scheme

Achieving another milestone AIIMS Bathinda has started surgeries for various procedures under Ayushmann Bharat scheme. Director AIIMS Bathinda Professor DK Singh informed that treatment of various major and minor diseases is possible on Ayushmann card in AIIMS Bathinda now.
AIIMS Bathinda is committed to provide quality medical care at affordable prices to the people of this region. He congratulated the Ayushmann Bharat team and doctors of treatment the hospital for starting this scheme in such a short time. Professor Satish Gupta, Medical superintendent, AIIMS Bathinda informed that all the efforts are being put by AIIMS Bathinda Team for providing affordable and accessible care to the needy patients. Dr Moonis Mirza, Deputy Medical Superintendent and Nodal Officer In charge for Ayushmann Bharat scheme at AIIMS Bathinda informed that AIIMS Bathinda is working for the beneficiaries by simplifying the process of approvals under this scheme.
The first procedure under this scheme was a Total knee replacement performed by the Department of Orthopaedics about two weeks back. The team was led by the Head of Orthopaedics Department Dr Tarun Goyal. The Team of doctors from the Department of Oncosurgery headed by Dr. Nikhil Garg, conducted its first batch of cancer surgeries under the Ayushman Bharat scheme. The surgeries were performed on two patients suffering from cancers of tongue and breast. The backup support from the Department of Anaesthesia was led by Dr. Mayank Gupta and his team.
