Teejis an important festival of Punjab, eagerly awaited and celebrated by ladies in the month of Sawan. The festival Teej brings enthusiasm and gives chance to young ladies for get together. Teej is also known as the festival of daughters. With a view to welcome ‘Sawan’ the festival of rain, Baba Farid Group of Institutions organized an  Inter College Teej Competition  as TEEJ FESTIVAL -2018 in various streams like “Mehndi Competition”, “Modelling- Madak Punjaban Di”, “ Hairstyle Competition”, “Solo-Dance”, “Singing” as well as “Nail Art Competition” .

In which 294 girls participated with great Zeal & enthusiasm. The Entire Campus was reverberated with enthusiasm. On the Occasion, the entire girls Students were dressed in colourful Punjabi attires. There was complete Rich Punjabi Culture. On this Festive Occasion,  a “Mehndi Competition” was held where “Simran Pawar”(MBA 1st Sem) honoured as a Winner for her Best Mehndi Design , Sofia” (BBA 1st sem) for “Best Hairstyle” & Barjinder Kaur”(MSc. Physics 2nd year) got first Prize in “Nail Art Competition” by the Judges Rishamjot Kaur, Navninder Kaur, Simranjeet kaur..

Besides this, Students showcase extraordinary dance performances on famous Punjabi Songs and among all participants “Naina“(BSc.CSM 3rd sem), ”Sudha”(MBA 3rd Sem), “Hareema”(B.A 5th Sem) & “Navreet” (B.A 3rd Sem) declared as Best Performer” & Sabreet Kaur” (BBA 5th Sem) as Miss Beautifulselected by Rishamjot Kaur & Navninder Kaur.To add Vibrance to TEEJ FESTIVAL-2018” Modelling was Conducted where in Veerpal Kaur (BA 3rd Sem ) hold position of winner as “Miss Teej” was honoured by Paramjeet Kaur Dhaliwal (Managing Director BFGI) & Dr. Amanat Dhaliwal, Executive Director, BFGI.

The Entire function was purely dedicated to females so roles of participants & Judges were played by girl students and Female Faculty members.

Paramjeet Kaur Dhaliwal, Managing Director BFGI congratulated Participants on the occasion and conveyed a message that motto of organising various cultural activities is to help students to relate and bond them with their culture.
