AIPEF demands withdrawal of all vindictive actions on UP power employees

All India Power Engineers Federation (AIPEF) in its federal executive meeting held today demanded all vindictive actions of the U.P. Govt. /Power Corporation be withdrawn and stopped immediately. These actions are in gross violation of the assurances given by the Minister of Energy.
The emergency federal executive meeting held today at New Delhi was attended by the representatives of more than dozen states including Maharashtra, Telengana, West Bengal Punjab , Haryana New Delhi Jammu and Kashmir and others The meeting was addressed by Shailendra Dubey, Padamjit Singh Rathnakar Rao , Ashok Rao, and other state leaders.
The Federal Executive resolved that in case victimisation of U.P. Power Employees and Engineers is not withdrawn immediately then one lakh Power Engineers across the country shall not remain silent spectators and will be forced to resort to remedial actions. Calls upon the engineers and employees across the country to be ready to struggle and make any sacrifice that may be required in support of the U.P. engineers and employees.
That the employees and engineers working in electricity undertakings in Uttar Pradesh organised themselves as the Vidyut Karamchari Sanyukt Sangharsh Samiti, UP in order to protect the interests of the electricity industry of U.P. and the employees serving therein. Due to the failure of the U.P. Govt. /Power Corporation to honour a written bilateral agreement between the Energy Minister of U.P. Govt. and the Sangharsh Samiti, the employees were compelled to undertake a 72 hour strike from 10 pm of 16th March 2023. However, due to the intervention of the Minister for Energy Govt. of U.P. the samiti gracefully withdrew the strike

After the withdrawal of the strike, based on assurances given by the Minister the Govt. of U.P. / Power Corporation has in violation of a mutual agreement arrived at harmoniously, has started taking vindictive actions including termination of the services of low paid casual workers,and suspension of employees
