Air Force Day celebrated and Ceremonial Parade held at Multani Mal Modi College

The Air Force Day dedicated to the motto of ‘Touch the Sky with Glory’ was celebrated at Multani Mal Modi college, Patiala to mark the establishment of the Indian Air Force in the year 1932 and in the honor of valiant service and sacrifices of Air Force personnel who have contributed to the country’s defense during wartime and peacetime. This year, the theme of Indian Air Force Day 2024 is ‘Bhartiya Vayu Sena: Saksham, Sashakt, Atmanirbhar’ (Potent, Powerful, and Self-Reliant). This shows the force’s commitment to self-reliance and modernization which aligns with India’s vision for a robust defense capability.
College Principal Dr. Neeraj Goyal paid tribute to the brave Indian Air Force which has evolved into one of the world’s most formidable air forces, playing crucial roles in various military operations and humanitarian missions. He motivated the students to remember this tireless service of our defense forces and took inspiration from their courage and bravery.
Dr. Sumeet kumar, Flying officer and Incharge of the Air Wing of the college told that Indian Air Force was established on October 8, 1932, as an auxiliary air force of the Royal Air Force of Britain. The first official flight took place on April 1, 1933, marking the beginning of its operational journey.
A beautiful parade dedicated to the Indian Air force was held by the cadets of the Air Wing of the college to demonstrate the advanced capabilities, technology, and operational readiness of the Indian Air Force.
