All India inter university roller skating championship unfolds at RIMT University

RIMT University, Mandi Gobindgarh took the initiative of organising, All India Inter University roller skating championship for the very first time in Mandi Gobindgarh.
The Championship was inaugurated by Tulsi Ram Aggarwal, President, Federation of India (RSF). 29 Universities in total participated in the event. In 500 mt, Male the first position was bagged by Aryan Pal Singh Ghuman, SDU Rohtak, 2nd and 3rd position was given to Yuvraj Karnatka and Ghanash Yama Prabhu, Karnatka respectively. In 500 girls, the first prize was won by Rea Elizabeth Achaiha,VVCE, Mysore, 2nd and third prize was given to Patel Happy Suresh Bhai, Gujrat University and Keerthi, MG University respectively. In 1000 meter Male, the first position was bagged by Aryan Pal Singh Ghuman, MDU Rohtak and 2nd by Omkara Yogaraj, VTU Belagavi, Karnatka and third prize was given to Anudeep Reddy, Osmania University. In 1000 meter, female the 1st prize was given to Prakriti Saxena, Ambedkar University, Delhi and 2nd and third prize was given to Kasturi Tamhankar and Mouna Babu, Banglore University respectively.
Speaking on the occasion RIMT university Chancellor Dr. Hukam Chand Bansal expressed his satisfaction in the way Sports activities are being organised in the University Campus and hoped that such activities will encourage students to maintain healthy life style and be productive in their career. Vice Chancellor Dr. AS Chawla while speaking on the occasion congratulated the organizers for their efforts in organizing the event.
The Championship at RIMT University is going to be a big boost to the sports activities in the University. The University has already set up Cricket Academy and is in the process of establishing Wrestling and Badminton Academy”
