Barnala achieves top rank for efficient work clearance, lowest work pendency

District Barnala has secured the top position in the state with lowest pendency (0.16%) of the applications of E Sewa portal.

Deputy Commissioner Barnala Harpreet Singh IAS said that 108287 application were received through the E – Sewa and connect portal in the district from April 8, 2025 to April 7, 2026, of these 97086 applications have been disposed of within the stipulated time, while 9613 are under process and 1588 sent back due to various reasons.

He informed that in district Barnala, more than 450 types of services are being provided through a total of 14 Sewa Kendras.

As per the directions of the Punjab government, instructions have been given to all departments regarding the time-bound disposal of applications received from citizens so that people do not face any inconvenience, DC added.

Municipal Commissioner  Harpreet Singh, stated that the Municipal Corporation is delivering time-bound services to residents. The pendency of NOCs under his jurisdiction on the E-Naksha portal stands at zero as of today.

He further said that the government is also providing the service of Door Step Delivery (DSD) under the “Sarkar Tuhade Dwar” initiative, where citizens can avail over 420 government services by calling 1076, eliminating queues for essential documents and certificates. People can track their applications online and a Sewa Sahayak delivers the service/certificate to their home.
