‘Alumni Wall of Fame’ inaugurated at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Hostel, Punjabi University; achievements inspire new students :VC

A special event dedicated to the martyrdom day of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev was organized at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Hostel, Punjabi University. On this occasion, the newly established ‘Alumni Wall of Fame’ was inaugurated by the Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Jagdeep Singh, who attended as the chief guest.
While addressing students and staff, Dr. Jagdeep Singh said that the day inspires everyone to work towards building a society envisioned by the great martyrs. He described the ‘Wall of Fame’ as not merely a structure, but a symbol of the dedication and achievements of former students who have earned recognition worldwide. He added that it would serve as a source of motivation for current students to strive for excellence and contribute to the nation.
Dean Academic Affairs, Prof. Jaswinder Singh Brar, also addressed the gathering and emphasized the importance of remembering the sacrifices of the martyrs while pursuing academic and personal growth.
The event also featured a powerful theatrical performance titled “The Statue Came Alive”, presented by hostel students.
Among those present were Dean Student Welfare Prof. Mamta Sharma, Dean Alumni Dr. Rajbans Singh Gill, Provost Dr. Sukhwinder Singh Saran, hostel wardens, heads of various departments, and a large number of students.
