Sri Guru Harkrishan Public School, S. S. T. Nagar, Patiala celebrated its annual day Agaaz , in Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Hall, Punjabi University, Patiala with great zeal and enthusiasm.
The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest Madan Lal Jalalpur (MLA) and other dignitaries. Principal, Dr. Kanwaljit Kaur formally welcomed the eminent guests.
The programme began with dance performances of tiny tots with grace which included ‘welcome song’, ‘Hum Deep Hain Shiksha ke’, ‘Love you mummy, Love You Papa’, ‘Save Trees and ‘Jai Jaikara’. The cultural items of senior students were based on themes like child labour, save earth,save earth and Sarhad Ke Rakhwalon ko Salaam. Next folk dances depicted rich, radiant and vibrant culture of India.
This was followed by the prize distribution ceremony, Hon’ble chief guest, chairman of Charhdikala Time TV Jagjit Singh Dardi, Director Jasvinder Kaur Dardi and Principal Dr. Kanwaljit Kaur gave away prizes to the academically meritorious pupils and sports champions. Chief Guest applauded the talent of students. The function ended with vote of thanks.
