Another Punjab soldier got martyred while serving the nation at Leh

Another Punjab soldier Salim Khan got martyred at Leh sector. As per Indian Army information Lance Naik Salim Khan was posted with 58 Engineers regiment. He was the resident of Village Mardanheri (on Patiala-Balbehra) road, in Patiala district.

Salim Khan was born on January 14, 1996 and got commissioned in Bengal Engineers regiment of Indian army. He left behind his mother Naseema Begum, one sister Sultana and a brother Niyamat Ali. His father late Mangal Din was also in the army and around 18 years ago, he died.

As per information, his body will be airlifted from Leh and will come to Chandigarh airport. From Chandigarh airport a helicopter will bring the body to Patiala and from Patiala the body will be taken in an army vehicle to his village, by around 3:00 pm, where his last rituals will be performed” said Col. Randhawa (Retd.) DDSWO, Patiala

On june, 15, Naib subedar Mandeep Singh, along with 20 Indian army soldiers, got martyred, at Leh sector, while fighting with Chinese army at Galwan valley.
