Earlier, chief minister Chanranjit Singh Channi and Punjab Pradesh congress committee president Navjot Singh Sidhu were known for their superstitious acts, but for the first time Capt Amarinder Singh seen doing all this. This election has brought another face of Capt Amarinder Singh in front of Patialavies- a ‘superstitious’ person.
Another side of Capt Amarinder’s personality came to fore-a superstitious person? It seems that Capt Amarinder Singh is doing these entire religious acts to ensure his win in this prestigious and last election.
“Capt Amarinder highlighted Navjot Singh Sidhu’s religious, superstitious acts in a sarcastic way. “He told me that he does meditation daily for six hours and talks to God for one hour. When I curiously asked what does he talk to God, he replied ‘just the way we talk’,” said Amarinder, in his interviews. Now, he is also doing all this” said Sumit.
As per available information he performed a puja at his Moti Bagh palace and donated a ‘Calf’. The calf was one of the animals chosen to be sacrificed in temples.
“This looks odd for the residents of Patiala as Capt Amarinder Singh always talk different and non believer in superstition and now seen as a superstitious person. Animal sacrifice is the ritual killing and offering of one or more animals, usually as part of a religious ritual or to appease , to seek blessings from a deity” said Kunal.
This is one of the toughest elections for Capt Amarinder Singh. He is facing three municipal councilors in his last election, out of which two remained mayor of the royal city-Patiala.
There is a tradition of donating ‘Calf’ at famous Kali Mata temple in Patiala along with liquor. Shri Kali Devi Temple is a temple in Patiala. It was built by the Maharaja of Patiala in 1936.
