Another trouble for Majithia, SIT reaches Nabha jail to investigate SAD leader

Patiala senior superintendent of police Varun Sharma led special investigation team (SIT) investigating shiromani akali dal leader Bikramjit Singh Majithia’s case has reached Nabha Jail in connection with FIR number 2 lodged in 2022 at Majithia police station.
On the court orders, SSP Patiala Varun Sharma and SP (D) Gurbans Singh has started investigation in the missing revenue records. For this they reached Nabha jail where Bikramjit Singh Majithia is lodged.
Akali stalwart Majithia was booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act on December 20, 2021 during the Charanjit Singh Channi led Congress government.
Later Majithia was arrested on June 25 from his Amritsar residence in the case registered under the Prevention of Corruption Act. Vigilance Bureau had stated that a case was registered against Majithia, based on a report of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) investigating cases registered under various section of the NDPS Act,1985 in December, 2021. In the report, substantial evidence has been uncovered indicating massive laundering of drug money by Majithia.
