‘ANSYS’ offered fellowships to IIT Ropar students

Under a unique CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) program, the ANSYS, a global leader and innovator of engineering simulation software, signed an agreement (Memorandum of Understanding) with the Indian Institute of Technology Ropar (IIT Ropar), to fund four M. Tech. students for their entire duration of course every year. The scholarship is aimed to accelerate the pursuit of scientific education towards solving societal problems, thereby empowering Research & Development among students for strengthening the society.

During the ceremony, Professor Rajeev Ahuja, the Director of IIT Ropar, and  Rafiq Somani, Area Vice President, India and ASEAN sales were present to sign the MoU. Through a virtual ceremony of commemoration of agreement for ANSYS Fellowship award  for MTech students of IIT Ropar.

Speaking about this initiative, Professor Rajeev Ahuja, Director of IIT Ropar stated that, “We being a young Institute of Young India have a lot of responsibilities towards bringing synergy in research & development for making “Atmanirbhar Bharat”. This can only be possible if we strengthen and give opportunities to our students to join the higher Education. The ANSYS fellowships will open a huge door of knowledge – including challenges and opportunities, and inspire a hope among the youth of today.”

Divulging more,  Rafiq Somani added that, “The future of any industry undoubtedly depends on technology and that is why research is crucial. With these Fellowship Awards, we, at ANSYS, hope to provide these great minds of India a much needed fast-track to technology research that focuses on healthcare, education and the environment, strengthening resilience and response to crises and promoting global prosperity. We are eagerly looking forward to the outcomes of the research that will surely provide some radical solutions in these socially relevant domains.”

‘ANSYS’ offered fellowships to IIT Ropar students . During the ceremony, Dr. Navin Kumar, Dean (R&D), Dr. Pushpendra P. Singh, Associate Dean (R&D), Dr. Dhiraj Mahajan, Associate Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering from IIT Ropar were present. Also  Amit Agarwal, Area Director, ANSYS Customer Excellence joined the virtual ceremony.
