April 13 IPL match at Mohali- Police releases traffic diversion map for commuters, local residents

As per the guidelines from Inspector General of Police, Rupnagar Range, Rupnagar and Senior Suptd. Of Police, SAS Nagar, proper police force has been deployed in District due to ongoing Protests and IPL Matches.
On April 13,2023, regarding IPL Match force from other districts has been deployed indoor and outdoor of the stadium and proper instructions given to the deployed force for good behavior with citizens. On the other hand Quick Reaction Teams (QRT) and other special Units will be deployed too for emergency situations. On Instructions by BCCI, unnecessary items/equipments will not be allowed to take inside the stadium and No Person will be allowed to enter inside the stadium without Ticket/Gate pass. Special passes have been issued to the residents who live nearby the stadium so that they will not face any difficulties for going to their houses. Proper arrangements regarding traffic also will be done by Senior Suptd. Of Police, SAS Nagar. In order to ensure smooth traffic, below said route diversions will be suggested to followed:
- Traffic from Madanpur Chownk will be diverted to chawla chownk via 3/7 Lights
- Traffic from 3/5 lights will be diverted to radha soami Chownk via PCL Chownk
- Traffic from 3/7 & 3/5 lights will go via sector 70 Mohali
- Traffic from Library Chownk will be diverted to Kumbra Chownk via ICAI Institute, Phase-7
- Traffic from Naka Ravidas Bhawan Chandigarh will be diverted via Scooter Market, Phase-7
- Traffic from Kumbra Chownk will be diverted towards Sector-70, Mohali
- No traffic to be allowed from Kumbra Chownk towards Ambb wala chownk
April 13 IPL match at Mohali- Police releases traffic diversion map for commuters, local residents. In this regard, by the order of Director General of Police, Punjab, Varun Sharma, IPS, SSP, Patiala has been appointed in SAS Nagar for smoothly conducting IPL Match and for maintaining Law & Order. Apart from this SP, City, SAS Nagar has also been appointed for maintaining adequate Law & Order Situation in district.
