Ashwani Sharma appointed as Rupnagar Distt Cong president
Bahadurjeet Singh/ royalpatiala.in News/ Rupnagar ,November 12,2025 Senior Congress leader Ashwani Sharma has been appointed as president of District Congress Committee Rupnagar.
It may be mentioned that Ashwani Sharma belonged to Congress family and was appointed as acting president of district congress committee after the death of Zaildar Satwinder Singh Cherrian. Now he has been appointed as full fledged president.
Sharma thanked AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge ,Ledaer of opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring ,CLP leader Partap Singh Bajwa, and former Punjab assembly speaker Rana KP Singh for his appointment.
Sharma said that he work dedicatedly for further strengthening the party at grassroot level by carrying all the Congress workers along with him.
