AWaDH CPS Lab launched at National Institute of Technology Delhi

Bahadurjeet Singh/New Delhi, December 6, 2023                                                    iHub-AWaDH, a Technology Innovation Hub under National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical System by the Department of Science and Technology at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Ropar Punjab collaborated with the National Institute of Technology Delhi, a leading engineering institution in India, known for excellence in education, research, and innovation to established AWaDH CPS Lab that focuses on providing quality education, fostering innovation, and nurturing technical skills among students and will contribute to advancing technological possibilities and fostering a culture of innovation.

The inauguration of the AWaDH CPS Lab, graced by Dr. Ekta Kapoor, Mission Director of NM-ICPS, in the august presence of the Prof Ajay K Sharma, Director; Dr Ravinder Kumar, Registrar; Dr Anurag Singh, Dean R&C from NIT Delhi; and Dean R&D, IIT Ropar; Dr Suman Kuman, Assistant Professor & IoT Domain Coordinator; Dr Brijesh Kumbhani, Assistant Professor IIT Ropar and other team members from iHubAWaDHsignifies the commencement of a collaborative effort to establish a CPS skilling platform. This initiative is designed to empower young graduates, postgraduates, researchers, faculty, and startups to delve into the realm of Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) and incorporate these interventions into their daily activities.

The lab features cutting-edge IoT kits developed by IIT Ropar, providing a 24×7 plug-and-play module for hands-on experimentation and exploration of the IoT landscape.

Additionally, the lab is equipped with state-of-the-art resources, including 3D printers and AI & ML workstations developed by Terafac Technologies Pvt Ltd, along with various sensors to measure environmental activities. Notably, this will be  first lab under AWaDH CPS Initative by IIT Ropar iHub and is set to play a crucial role in integrating CPS into the course curriculum of NIT Delhi.

AWaDH CPS Lab launched at National Institute of Technology Delhi. Acting as a hub for CPS training in the Delhi region, it opens doors for educational and skill development initiatives. The inaugural event marked the beginning of joint training programs, specifically tailored as ‘train the trainers’ and ‘train the students’ modules, providing both theoretical and hands-on training in CPS.
