Bakery Workshop Organized at IET Bhaddal Technical Campus

The Department of Hotel Management & Catering Technology of IET Bhaddal Technical Campus successfully organized a Bakery Workshop with the objective of providing students with the latest techniques, recipes and practical knowledge related to bakery.
In this workshop, renowned Master Baker of India, Chef Vinod Sidhu, gave students in-depth knowledge about new trends and methods in the bakery field. Chef Sidhu taught the students modern techniques for preparing cakes, pizzas, garlic bread, aloo patties, cheese fingers, pizza sauce and other bakery products. He specifically guided the students on the selection of quality ingredients, taste and the scientific methods of presentation.
During his practical session, he told the students that bakery is not just an art but also a science. He emphasized that success in this field requires creativity, patience and sound technical knowledge.
On this occasion, Dr. S. S. Bindra, Registrar-cum-Director, shared his views, stating that the demand for bakery in India’s hospitality sector is increasing rapidly and such workshops provide students with practical experience while preparing them for new employment opportunities.
Dr. Kanchan Sharma, Principal of Hotel Management, said that the students learned many valuable skills from Chef Vinod Sidhu that cannot be learned from books. She also mentioned that such workshops will continue to be organized in the future.
Also present on this occasion were Dr. Gurpreet Singh (Principal – Engineering), Dr. Preet Kanwal Kaur (Principal – Pharmacy), Dr. Taranjeet Kaur, Onkar Singh and Vishal Arora.
