Be cautious: Patiala police not sparing people violating Mission Fateh norms –SSP

Patiala SSP Mandeep Singh Sidhu has once again advised the people to strictly follow the Mission Fateh rules and cover their face with face mask whenever the move outside from their residence.,, don’t spit in public places and follow social distancing norms. He said that people are not following the guidelines issued by the state government, whole heartedly and Patiala police is in no mood to spare the violators.
Sidhu further informed that till July, 9,2020 Patiala police has challaned 7255 violators, for not wearing masks and collected Rs 30.02 lacs as fine. He added that Patiala police also collected Rs. 15,500/- from 78 persons for spitting in public places and collected Rs 63,000 as fine for not following social distancing norms on 28 occasions. Sidhu said, Patiala police also collected Rs 4000 from 2 persons, who jumped quarantine period and violated the norms. He further added that”if violators didn’t pay the fine, then suitable action will be taken against him/ her under Epidemic diseases act 1897”
