Leader of the Opposition in the Punjab Vidhan Sabha, Partap Singh Bajwa, said that Bhartiya Janta Party(BJP )and Aam Aadmi Party  (AAP )are two sides of the same coin and AAP is the B team of BJP.

While addressing a press conference at the residence of former Punjab assembly Speaker Rana K.P. Singh in Rupnagar, Bajwa said that Aam Aadmi Party had adopted same line as that of BJP on various issues.

He said that before the assembly elections, AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal said that if his government comes to power in Punjab ,revenue of Rs 20 ,000 crore would be generated from mining ,which would be deposited in the state treasury. But now all this money is going to the AAP party’s treasury instead of the Punjab treasury.

He said that open illegal mining is taking place  in Punjab and a government minister is leading illegal mining in Rupnagar district. He said that the Punjab government is proving to be the most corrupt government till date. Bajwa said that the Congress party has become stronger after Rahul Gandhi came to Punjab and all the leaders are together on one platform.

He expressed hope that the Congress will come to the power again in the upcoming elections. He alleged that the BJP and AAP governments are anti-farmer and are working against the interests of the farmers.

He said that during the last floods, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had promised the people that he would give Rs 50 ,000 per acre as compensation for the damaged crop due to floods ,but till now the people have not been able to get proper compensation.

He said that the Punjab government is lathi-charging the farmers and farmers were severely tortured in Bathinda. The Punjab Congress strongly condemns this. He said that the central government has also destroyed the purpose of schemes like MNREGA, which earlier provided a lot of employment to the rural people. He said that MNREGA should be implemented in its first form. Along with this, he said that the central government has caused additional loss to the farmers by signing the Indo-American deal.

He said that although the details of this will come by the end of March, initially the agricultural goods that the central government will import from United States will be subject to zero percent tax, which will be sold cheaply in the country, due to which the Indian farmer will suffer a lot and the Indian farmer will not be able to get the right price for his crop, due to which the Indian farmer will be ruined. He said that the center should immediately cancel this deal and help the Indian farmers.

Bajwa congratulated the people of Punjab on the occasion of Hola Mohalla and said that he will pay homage at the birthplace of Sri Anandpur Sahib Khalsa today.

On this occasion, former Speaker of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha Rana K. P. Singh, District President of Congress Ashwani Sharma, senior leader Sukhwinder Singh Whisky,Rajeshwar Lali Amarjit Singh Bhullar,Kamaljit Chawla  ,Karnail Singh Jelly,Harinder Sodhi were also present.

On this occasion, Rana K. P. Singh said that the Punjab government is committing grave atrocities on farmers which can never be tolerated. He said that the torture done to peaceful farmers by the police in Bathinda should be investigated at a high level.
