BJP Punjab President Sunil Jakhar visited Rupnagar under Parvas programme of Lok Sabha Constituency Sri Anandpur Sahib.
He met the party office berates from the state to the booth level and reviewed the organization and also discussed with the workers about the preparations for the Lok Sabha elections and listen to their suggestions.
On reaching Rupnagar , district President Ajavir Singh Lalpura, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar President Sanjiv Vashisht, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar President Ashok Bath welcomed the state president Sunil Jakhar.
Addressing the media on this occasion, Sunil Jakhar said that the BJP is fully prepared for the Lok Sabha elections in 2024 and the workers are going door-to-door to contact the people.
He said that in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Punjab will play its leading role in forming the BJP government for the third time under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Centre by winning 13 Lok Sabha seats in the state.
Sunil Jakhar said that our responsibility in Punjab is not to win 13 Lok Sabha seats or 117 Vidhan Sabha seats, but to save l Punjab. Punjabis are big-hearted and have created a distinct identity for themselves all over the world and we all have to go along with it.
Commenting on the law and order in the state, he said that no one feels safe in Punjab, while gangsters are giving interviews sitting in jails and attempts are being made to create a rift in the community, which will not be allowed to succeed. We have to maintain communal harmony of the state and BJP is standing firm for the interests of Punjabis.
