BJP leaders’ hijack Col. Bath’s assault case; Capt family enters in the last leg of agitation

After around 8-9 days, former Punjab chief minister Capt Amarinder Singh’s wife Preneet kaur, ex member parliament and their daughter Jai Inder Kaur has finally come forward in Col. Pushpinder Singh Bath’s assault case. All, Capt Amarinder Singh, Preneet Kaur and Jai Inder Kaur belongs to BJP. Even Colonel Bath is a brother-in-law of Gurtej Singh Dhillon, a BJP leader from Punjab.
Today morning before the beginning of protest a message to media persons are flashed that Preneet Kaur will hand over a memorandum to deputy commissioner Patiala and after half an hour Jai Inder Kaur will hand over the memorandum to the SSP, Patiala in Col Bath’s assault case.
As per plan, today Col Bath’s family is organizing a protest outside deputy commissioner Patiala’s office even after Punjab police had already registered a fresh FIR against all the accused named by Jaswinder Kaur Bath wife of Col Pushpinder Singh Bath. Jaswinder kaur Bath had already given the points, memorandum to the DC, Patiala.
On Friday night- March 21,2025 the Col family had a meeting with deputy commissioner Patiala Dr Preeti Yadav after the registration of fresh FIR as per Col Bath’s family wish. As per available information, DC Patiala had persuaded Bath family to not to organize the protest as all their demands are met. But, Bath family refused to budge on this issue.
Yesterday itself, Maj. Amardeep Singh (Retd.) , a close confident of Capt Amarinder Singh had requested the politicians to not to politicize this issue as the issue will further complicate the relations between the Armed forces and Punjab Police. The issue must be sort out by Indian Army and Punjab Police at their own level.
