BJP minister’s virtual press conference in Patiala turned out to be damp squib

BJP member parliament and union minister of State (Union of India) for Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries Sanjeev Balyan, virtual press conference in Patiala turned out to be damp squib. BJP leaders from Patiala , its president Harinder Kohli, Gud rjit Singh Kohli, Jagdeep Singh Sodhi along with others also participated in the virtual press briefing.

As a part of ongoing Kisan Samvad Sammelan of BJP in Punjab, an eight-day-long event which began on Tuesday and is slated to go on till October 20 in the form of virtual rallies in eight districts, today union minister of State (Union of India) for Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries Sanjeev Balyan interacted virtually   with the media person, in a private coaching institute, of repute ,in city centre area of Patiala.

Balyan started the interaction, by defending and highlighting the three farm bills, passed recently by the NDA government. He informs the media that the rumors are spreading out by the Congress, about the farm bills, which is untrue. These bills are in favour of farmers.

When the media persons started questioning the minister, the disruption in the link started. In most of the interaction with the minister, any media person virtually asked the question to the minister, the link of minister gets disconnected/ disrupted. It remained till end and some of the media persons left the press conference, in between.

Earlier, a media person asked the minister, why BJP, its leaders are not coming to meet the agitated farmers, the minister said “due to corona, we are avoiding the meeting. “. When another reporter raised question that, then why BJP is holding tractor yatra, election rallies in Bihar, the link disconnected.”

Another reporter asked why on Wednesday’s meeting at Krishi Bhawan, Delhi, not a single minister was present in the meeting while 8 ministers have been deputed to address virtual rallies in Punjab for 8 days. The minister said, “we are ready to talk to farm union leaders. I extend the invitation from my side. Rest I’ll talk to union agriculture minister and we will meet the farm union leaders and sort out the differences” .

Later Kissan union leaders came to know about the BJP’s press conference and they came and raised the slogan against the government for passing anti farmer bills.
