BJP national president Nadda gave return birthday gift to Punjab’s turncoat leaders

Finally, after around 70 days of merging Punjab Lok Congress into BJP former chief minister of Punjab Capt Amarinder Singh finds place in saffron party fold. He was not inducted by the party president JP Nadda but by the two union minister. Whereas his party colleague and former Punjab pradesh congress committee president Sunil Jakhar was inducted by BJP National president JP Nadda, himself.
BJP national president Nadda gave return birthday gift to Punjab’s turncoat leaders.With an eye on the 2024 Lok Sabha election, the BJP on Friday named former Punjab chief minister Amarinder Singh and ex chief of state Congress Sunil Jakhar as the party’s national executive members. Former Uttar Pradesh president Swatantra Dev Singh has also been included as member of its national executive.
Saffron Party also appointed former Congress spokesperson and Rahul Gandhi’s close aide Jaiveer Shergill its national spokesperson, the party said in a statement. Shergill, who is a lawyer by profession and was one of the prominent ones among young Congress leaders, on August 24, tendered his resignation claiming that the vision of the decision-makers no longer was in sync with the aspirations of the youth and joined the saffron party.
Madan Kaushik, Vishnu Deo Sai, its former presidents of Uttarakhand and Chhattisgarh, respectively, Rana Gurmit Singh Sodhi, Manoranjan Kalia and Amanjot Kaur Ramoowalia, all three from Punjab, have been made special invitees to the national executive, it added.
Sunil Jakhar, 68, joined the BJP in May after five decades in the Congress, which three generations of his family served. The former Lok Sabha MP left the party over issues such as ‘nationalism’, ‘brotherhood’ and ‘unity’ in Punjab.
The appointments come ahead of the December 5 meeting BJP chief JP Nadda has called for Lok Sabha 2024 election strategists.
