Blast outside police post in Patiala district triggers panic

Panic gripped Patiala’s Badshahpur police chowki after an explosion was heard on Tuesday night-early morning.
As per available information a loud explosion was heard in and around Badshahpur police chowki in Patran sub-division.
The glasses of window panes of Co-operative bank situated next to police chowki were shattered, broken.
SSP Patiala Nanak Singh, SP investigation Yogesh Sharma rushed to the spot and start the investigation. Patran DSP Inderpal singh also joined them.
Meanwhile SSP Patiala Nanak Singh ruled out any grenade attack. He said “the police has not recovered any lever, residue etc of the grenade. We are investigating the cause of the blast .”
