Blood Donation Camp organized at Multani Mal Modi College

A Blood Donation Camp was held at local M. M. Modi College, Patiala to spread the message of ‘Khoondaan-Mahadaan’. The camp was organsied by the NSS unit of the College in collaboration with Red Ribbon Club under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Khushvinder Kumar and was supervised by a medical team from Govt. Rajindra Hospital, Patiala. The camp was inaugurated by college Principal Dr. Khushvinder Kumar. Addressing the blood donors, he said that these blood units are going to act as lifeline for many patients of dengue. He appreciated the efforts of students and college staff for making this camp a success. A team of doctors led by Dr. Kamaljit Kaur and Sh. Sukhvinder Singh made meticulous arrangements for collecting donated blood. 81 units of blood were donated by the volunteers. The teachers of the College Dr. Sumeet Kumar and Dr. Rohit Sachdeva also donated the blood and motivated the students.

Dr. Rajeev Sharma, Dr. Harmohan Sharma and Prof. Jagdeep Kaur NSS Programme Officers put special efforts in making this venture a grand success. They motivated the students and said that donating blood is the noblest act of service to the humanity. The NSS Volunteers Dutie Singh, Pallavi Dhawan, Abhinandan Mittal, Neeraj Gupta and Vipan Singh worked hard to make this camp a success. All volunteers were felicitated with certificates and medals.
