“Brave the Present, Rise to the Future” – Ryan School, Patiala Celebrates 50-Year Legacy at 19th Montessori Graduation-cum-Annual Day

Ryan International School, Patiala, radiated with youthful energy and academic pride as it hosted its 19th Montessori Graduation-cum-Annual Day. This year’s celebration held a special significance as it coincided with the Ryan Group’s milestone 50th Anniversary, marking a golden legacy of excellence in global education. The event, themed “Brave the Present, Rise to the Future,” was meticulously conceptualized by the school’s Director, Sonal Pinto.The school grounds were transformed into a vibrant stage where students from the Montessori wings through Grade 8 displayed an impressive array of talent, discipline, and creativity.
The celebration was graced by an assembly of distinguished Guests of Honour, including Charanjeet Singh Ahluwalia (Secretary, PPSC), Jaideep Singh Josan (Deputy Supt., Patiala), Adarsh Pal Singh Toor (Deputy Supt., Patiala), Jiwanjot Singh Teja (Dronacharya Awardee and Coach of the Indian Archery Team), Jaswinder Singh Brar (Dean Academics, Punjabi University, Patiala), and Dr. Balwinder Kaur (Medical Officer, 36 Battalion, PAP Commando Hospital, Bahadurgarh). Adding a layer of inspiration, the school welcomed back successful alumni, including Harsh Kumar (Mechanical Engineer & Marketing Researcher), Riya Mittal (Influencer pursuing BA.LLB), Dr. Navneet Kaur (Physiotherapist), and Babanpreet Singh (SRCC Graduate & UPSC Aspirant).
The formal program commenced with a spiritual invocation, and a series of multilingual welcome speeches. A major highlight was the celebration of the Ryan Group’s 50 Years logo and a special video tribute chronicling five decades of the Group’s visionary impact. The audience was treated to a spectacular cultural showcase, ranging from the rhythmic “Dabke” Middle Eastern folk dance and the “Cheraw” bamboo dance to the energetic “Aagaaz” acrobat performance and the “Berezka” dance. A central highlight was the Montessori Graduation Ceremony for Mont III students, marking their transition into primary schooling, followed by the poignant musical skit “You Are Special.”

The atmosphere reached a crescendo during the Ryan Achiever’s Award ceremony, where excellence in academics, sports, and leadership was celebrated. The most anticipated moment was the announcement of the Ryan Prince and Princess titles, beginning with our youngest stars and moving through the senior wing: From the Montessori section, Shaurya Badhan and Harjap Kaur (Mont 1), Piyush Raj and Rayna Faith (Mont 2), and Hargun Shukla and Avreen Kaur (Mont 3) were honoured. From the Primary wing, titles went to Mihir and Ridhwi Pahwa (Gr 1), Fatehpreet Singh and Harshita Sharma (Gr 2), Riaan Gupta and Simrit Saini (Gr 3), Harveer Singh and Ruhaniyat Kaur (Gr 4), and Sidakbir Singh Cheema and Gurasees Kaur (Gr 5). The Middle and Senior wing achievers included Aarav Dhaliwal and Iyanat Chahal (Gr 6), Prabhansh Singh and Prakriti (Gr 7), Nishesh Jain and Anmol (Gr 8), Rudra Raj Sandeep Gite and Dwisha (Gr 9), Maulik Badwar and Manya Rishi (Gr 10), and finally Ekamjot Singh and Jasleen Kaur (Gr 11).
The event concluded with the dignitaries commending Principal Pooja Sharma for fostering an environment of holistic growth under the visionary leadership of Chairman Dr. A.F. Pinto and Managing Director Dr. Grace Pinto.
