British Co-Ed High school defying ministers order; demanding full fee in one go

British Co-Ed High school, one of Patiala’s premier school is openly defying Punjab’s education minister orders. The school authorities seems to be so daring that they openly asks the students of class XI to deposit the annual fees and that to in one go

Despite repeated warnings by the Punjab education minister, Vijay Inder Singla to all the private schools in Punjab to demand only tuition fees from the students, due to Civid 10 pandemic, this  prominent private school is asking its students to deposit the tuition fee, annual fee, admission fee, Christmas charges and other charges.

Defying the government orders British Co-Ed High School, through an email, has asked the students of class XI to deposit Rs 88,900 fees at the earliest, before May,21,2020.

Even the school authorities are admitting its old students, who appeared in this year class X board exams, as new students, so that they can get additional amount, by way of annual charges, admission fee etc.

“It’s a status symbol among the bureaucrats, businessman to send their wards for study in this school and school authorities takes this as granted ” said a local resident.

Even today in the day Punjab education minister Vijay Inder Singla, held a live Facebook interaction with students, parents, teachers and other stakeholders where he got unprecedented response and overwhelming number of questions. The cabinet minister appraised the students, parents that the schools could only charge tuition fee from the exact date when they have started taking classes.ensured that strict action will be ensured against the schools who found flouting government directions repeatedly. He said that DEOs have been directed to enforce all the directions of Punjab government in their respective jurisdiction.He also shared his email [email protected] and asked students, parents and other people to file complaints pertaining to school education issues, if not being resolved by the nodal officers. He assured that every complaint received of the parents by him or by the nodal will be resolved.
