Cabinet Minister Harjot Bains Reviews Flood Situation in Sri Anandpur Sahib

Punjab Cabinet Minister Harjot Singh Bains is closely monitoring the flood situation in Sri Anandpur Sahib constituency,

During his visit to the affected regions, the Minister met local residents and assured them that the administration has made all necessary arrangements to deal with the situation. He appealed to the people to remain calm and extend full cooperation to the authorities.

“The safety and well-being of our people is the government’s top priority. The administration is working round the clock and is fully prepared to handle any emergency,” said Harjot Singh Bains.

The district administration has deployed dedicated teams in vulnerable areas to provide timely assistance, while control rooms have been established for quick communication and emergency response. Residents have been advised to remain vigilant and reach out to the local helpline numbers issued by the administration in case of need.

Addressing local concerns, residents from Jindwari to Patti Tek Singh Wala apprised the Minister about the damaged Ailgran under-construction bridge, which has left only one motorable road available. Minister Bains immediately directed the concerned authorities and the drainage department to take urgent steps to restore safe connectivity. At present, only the Nangal road is functional, which is a longer route for villagers.

He assured that the Punjab Government is actively working to resolve these issues and prioritizing the safety of every citizen.

Prominent local residents including Jaswant Singh Bela, Mohan Singh, Harminder Singh, Surjit Singh, and Surinder Singh were also present during the Minister’s visit.
