Capt Amarinder Singh’s close confident turncoat leader is BJP candidate from Sangrur

Kewal Dhillon, a businessman turned politician is BJP candidate from Sangrur parliamentary bye elections.

Kewal Dhillon who a day after he joined the BJP in the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, at Chandigarh. The party has decided to field the former Barnala MLA for the Sangrur Lok Sabha byelection. Kewal Dhillon has been two time MLA from Barnala.

Yesterday, Dhillon, along with ex-ministers Balbir Singh Sidhu, Raj Kumar Verka, Sunder Sham Arora and Gurpreet Kangar, family of Amrik singh Dhillon, SAD leader Sarup Chand Singla joined BJP.

He is a close confident of former chief minister and Punjab Lok Congress supremo Capt Amarinder Singh. In the past, he held several important positions in the Congress. He was senior vice president of Punjab Congress, member of the All India Congress Committee (AICC) and had contested the Lok Sabha election from Sangrur against Bhagwant Mann in 2019.

Bhagwant Mann, who won the sangrur parliamentary election in 2019 secured 4,13,561 votes while his nearest rival Congress’ Kewal Singh Dhillon received 3,03,350 votes. Parminder Singh Dhindsa of the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) bagged 2,63,498 votes.

Capt Amarinder Singh’s close confident turncoat leader is BJP candidate from Sangrur. As per sources Capt Amarinder Singh, who is heading Punjab Lok Congress and Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa (SAD) will also support BJP candidate Dhillon in this elections.
