Earlier, an application has been moved by the Enforcement  Directorate for shifting of accused Jaswant Singh to PGI, Chandigarh from Govt Rajindra Hospital, Patiala for his medical examination & treatment as PGI, Chandigarh (which is one of the most prestigious institutions), after thorough examination and treatment of the accused, had discharged him on 11.11.2023 and that the said hospital would rather be a better option for treatment of accused at this stage. The law enforcement agency also wanted grant of 7 days ED remand excluding the hospitalization period.

PMLA court issues order on MLA Jaswant Singh Gajjanmajra after 5 member doctors panel submitted its report. The Special Medical Board Report given by the Board of Five Doctors of Government Rajindra Hospital, Patiala, mentioned that the accused is stated to have been admitted in PGI, Chandigarh from 07.11.2023 to 11.11.2023. The Board having medically examined accused Jaswant Singh, had found his general physical and neurological examination normal. However, in view of the accused being a diabetic and hypertensive, suspected of CAD and having complained of vertigo, his MRI brain was advised and required. His Ortho examination revealed that his neck and shoulder muscles were normal but his MRI cervical spine was advised for diagnosis of cervical spondylosis. Cardiology examination of the accused revealed stable vitals. ECG at admission was suggestive of sinus tachycardia, which resolved in follow-up ECG taken after 4 hours. Echocardiography suggested of normal LV function. However, it was suggested that serial ECGs and serial cardiac enzymes were required to assess the dynamic changes in ECG and for which, the patient might require TMT/Stress Thallium. The Board thus concluded that the patient required close monitoring in the form of serial ECGs, serial cardiac enzymes and other pending investigations.
