BJP drops sitting MPs in today’s list

The BJP on Tuesday named three more candidates for the Lok Sabha polls, dropping all its sitting MPs, including union minister Rajkumar Ranjan Singh, from these seats won by it in 2019.
This list features candidates for two seats in Rajasthan and one in Manipur. In Rajasthan, the BJP has fielded Kanhaiya Lal Meena for the Dausa Lok Sabha seat and Indu Devi Jatav for the Karauli-Dolpur seat, dropping sitting MPs Manoj Rajoria and Jaskaur Meena.
Meanwhile, Thounaojam Basanta Kumar Singh has been selected as the candidate for the Inner Manipur seat. He is a minister in the Manipur government.
