    Chandigarh Administration has announced 10th June, 2024 (Monday) as Public Holiday in all the Government Offices/ Boards/ Corporations/ Institutions including Industrial Establishments under Section 25 of the Negotiable Instrument Act, 1881 on account of Martyrdom day of Sikh Guru Sri Guru Arjun Dev Ji.

      News portal royalpatiala.in today highlighted the wrong doings done of some private schools of Mohali, by asking the parents to deposit the new academic session fee by April, 30. Even parents objected the decision taken by private schools in this crucial period when the whole country is facing a pandemic Covid-19. After news portal royalpatiala.in highlighted this on its website, administration came forward and passed an order to all the private educational institutions to not to compel the parents to deposit the fee, for the new academic session, within this month. Deputy Commissioner SAS Nagar (Mohali) Girish Dayalan issued an advisory in the evening to all the private schools to hold the fee deposit process, till further orders. He even advise the management of these private schools of SAS Nagar (Mohali) district to keep in mind that every citizen is facing the hardship in this pandemic Covid 19. He also advised them to give one month time, after the lockdown, to deposit the fee. Earlier even Yadawindra Public School, Mohali has asked the parents to deposit the new academic fee of the first quarter (April-June 2020) before April 30,2020 with the transportation fee, in the curfew bound state. A parent on the condition of anonymity had said " when the govt has extended the payment of bills deadline, many states has issued instruction to schools to no to charge tuition fees for around two months, then why the school authorities are in hurry."
