Congress announces its candidate for Jalandhar Lok sabha bye-election

Today, congress high command announces the candidature of Karamjit Kaur Chaudhary as the party candidate for Jalandhar Lok Sabha bye-election.
Following the recent demise of Jalandhar MP Santokh Singh Chaudhary, Congress has given the party ticket to his wife Karamjit Kaur.
Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee has already announced senior leader and MLA Tript Rajinder Singh has been appointed as in-charge of Shahkot constituency, MLA Sukhbinder Singh Sarkaria of Kartarpur, Raj Kumar Chabbewa of Jalandhar Cantt, Barindermeet Singh Pahra of Nakodar, former MLA Inderbir Singh Bolaria of Phillaur constituency.
