Congress fields old war horses in Punjab ,Chandigarh

It’s a do or dies situation for both Congress and BJP. Congress don’t wants to take a risk at this point . They want to field their tested candidates, old war horses against Modi led BJP government in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Also BJP is trying to choose winning candidates to remain in the power.
In the latest list announced by AICC former Union Railway Minister is going to contest from Chandigarh , former Union Minister of State of External Affairs and Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh wife Preneet kaur will contest from Patiala. Similarly Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee President and former Lok sabha Speaker’s son Sunil Jakhar will contest from Gurdaspur seat. Sitting MP and grandson of former Punjab Chief Minister late Beant Singh, Ravneet Singh Bittu will contest from Ludhiana. Gurjit Singh Aujla , sitting Member Parliament will contest from Amritsar and Dr Raj Kumar Chabbewal , a sitting MLA in Punjab Vidhan Sabha will contest from Hoshairpur (reserved seat).Santohk Singh Chaudhary is a congress candidate from Jalandhar (reserved) constituency.
The names of candidates were released by Mukul Wasnik, General secy, In charge CEC along with other 13 congress candidates
