Congress ticket aspirant submitted application for Patiala (urban) assembly seat

    Congress ticket aspirant submitted application for Patiala (urban) assembly seat

    The Congress had on Thursday invited applications from the party’s ticket aspirants for the upcoming Punjab assembly polls, 2022. Though the Punjab Pradesh congress committee President Navjot Singh Sidhu already said that merit will be the key criteria for the selection of candidates, the party workers are enthusiastically filling the application forms, highlighting their achievements.

    As per Punjab Congress general secretary Yoginder Pal Dhingra the party has decided to accept forms from the ticket aspirants and December 20 will be the last date for the submission of applications.

    After the former chief minister Capt Amarinder Singh, who remained MLA from Patiala (Urban) left the Congress party and floated his own party, a number of congress workers has applied for the Congress ticket from Patiala (Urban).

    Rajeshvir Attri (Monu), son former congress leader Rajinderpal Attri, a Congress ticket aspirant submitted application for Patiala (urban) assembly seat . Rajinderpal Attri remained chairman Punseed in the Beant Singh government. Rajeshvir, a B.A, L.LB is into social activities & politics.

    He started his political career after completing his studies. But on March 24, 2007 he got his first political responsibility -the post of Organising Secretary Punjab Youth Congress.  In August 2007, he made District Returning Officer DRO, Fatehgarh Sahib District Youth Congress, and Punjab. He got selected for “Aam Aadmi Ka Sipahi” Training Camp Hyderabad, in July 2008 and later made Coordinator for Aam Aadmi ka Sipahi for District Nawashehar and Jalandhar, Punjab and also posted as General Secretary Punjab Youth Congress district delegate from Patiala (Rural) in the year 2008.For a year, from 2009-10 he worked as Ofce In charge Punjab Youth Congress Chandigarh Congress Bhawan , associated MP  Ravneet Singh Bittu in Anandpur Sahib constituency .

    He even organised camps Against Social Evils adopting 15 villages under Aam Aadmi Ka Sipahi  and remained master coach Punjab Youth Congress Whistelling Woods Punjab and Delhi in 2010. In 2011 he remained coordinator for Gujarat Election for Petlad Constituency where party won by 12300 votes (gained more 8800 votes against previous 3500 votes).

    In 2012-13 he worked as Coordinator for two constituencies of Chhattisgarh namely Khuji and Donger Gaon. Both seats won by Congress (It is here to specify that this District belongs to Chief Minister Raman Singh of  BJP). In the year 2014, he worked for Lok Sabha Election Ludhiana where MP  Ravneet Singh Bittu won the election.

    In 2017he remained stationed in the assembly election at Jalalabad, along with congress candidate Ravneet Singh Bittu contested an election against SAD leader Sukhbir Singh Badal. In 2019 Lok Sabha Election Ludhiana Punjab he  worked in Ludhiana South Constituency as in charge and where  the congress candidate Ravneet Singh Bittu gained 6000 more votes than the previous results of assembly elections.
