“Farmers are away to Delhi to participate in the protest against the Central farm laws. Back home, mainly women along with their kids, old in-laws, father, mother are staying in the villages. To remain in touch with them, Patiala police has made elaborate arrangements for the safety, security of all the women, old persons residing in the villages of the district, so that they don’t face any problem”, said, senior superintendent of police (SSP) Patiala Vikramjeet Duggal.
Duggal further informed that, “ to curb the criminal activities and for the safety of women, old age persons Patiala police has intensified the patrolling . We have deputed 950 village police officers in the villages, areas, to help them. These village officers are of constable, head constable, assistant sub inspector (ASI) rank officials. The officials were deputed, according to the size, population of the village. If the village is large, having large population, an ASI rank official has been deputed in the village, to help the villagers. “
He further said,”Patiala police is readily available to help the women, old age residents, along with other residents. We will not allow anyone to breach the security, safety of our residents. It’s our duty to protect our citizens and in this scenario, our responsibility gets doubled.”
