Convicted Rapist Baba gets 15th relief from government, granted yet another parole

Rape convict, controversial Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim has once again been granted a 40-day parole by the Rohtak Divisional Commissioner. He is likely to be released on Sunday or Monday and being asked to present at his Sirsa dera.
Once again he received 40 days parole after five months. He was last released on a 40-day parole in August 2025.
The Rohtak Divisional Commissioner approved the 40-day parole for the rape and murder convict Dera chief. He is lodged in Sunaria jail in Haryana’s Rohtak,
This will be the 15th time Ram Rahim will be released from jail, either on parole or furlough, since his conviction.
The Dera Sacha Sauda chief was sentenced to 20 years in 2017 for raping two of his disciples. In 2019, he and three others were also convicted for the murder of a journalist Ram Chander Chhatarpati. Ram Rahim was also sentenced to life imprisonment for the 2002 murder of his manager, Ranjit Singh. However, he, along with four others – Avtar Singh, Krishan Lal, Jasbir Singh, and Sabdil Singh – were acquitted in May 2024, citing “tainted and sketchy” investigations in the matter.
The Dera chief was last released on a 40-day parole in August 2025, which he reportedly took to celebrate his 58th birthday.
