Covid 19 update; cases surge in Patiala

As per civil surgeon Patiala, today, 89 new cases were reported in Patiala district. Yesterday 126 cases were reported in Patiala district. Today 92 cured patients were discharged from covid care centres, hospitals in Patiala district and now total cured patients touched 1105 mark. Positive cases in Patiala go up to 1828 with todays new cases and active cases goes to 694
Covid 19 update; cases surge in Patiala. Out of these 89 cases, 56 reported from Patiala, 10 from Rajpura, 2 from nabha , 1 from Samana, and rest from different villages of the district. In Patiala maximum cases were detected in 41 contact tracing. These include five health workers, three pregnant women and two police personnel.
Four from Ajit Nagar, Patiala, three each from Gurbakhsh Colony, Ekta Nagar, Adarsh Colony, Sullar Road, Arora Street, Moti Bagh, HR. Enclave, Defense Colony, New Officer Colony,two cases were reported from New Police Line, Maharaja Street Hira Nagar, Bachittar Nagar, Preet Vihar, Darshna Colony, Patiala, Jujhar Nagar, Preet Nagar, Ekta Vihar, Anand Nagar-B, Old Bishan Nagar, Azad Nagar, Punjabi Bagh, Dashmesh Nagar Urban Estate -2, Mahindra Colony, Tegh Colony, Krishna Colony, Dhillon Colony, Pathak Vihar, Model Town, Anardana Chowk, Lehal, Sher Majra, Patiala, Tripuri, Water Tank B, Charan Bagh, Anand Nagar. In Rajpura’s Dhakansu Majra, New Officer Colony, Rajpura, KSM Road, Gandhi Colony, Guru Nanak Darbar, Badwal Jhungia, RSM Road, Anand Nagar, One from Sundar Nagar, Telian Street, Nabha. One positive case has been reported from Kartarpura Mohalla, one from Gharama Patti of Samana, three from Patran Ward No. 8 and 17 from different villages.
Dr. Malhotra said that a 28-year-old pregnant woman from Harigarh, Nabha, who was admitted to PGI Chandigarh and was covid positive, gave birth to the baby after premature delivery. The number of deaths related to positive cases in the district has risen to 29 as the child died during treatment at the hospital yesterday.
Samples of other staff members are also being taken at Primary Health Centers Kalomajra and Koli after finding positive in the staff and quarantine is being done as per the public health risk as per the requirement. Yuvraj Narang has also been found to be covid positive on the onset of symptoms and is being isolated and sapling the staff member who comes in close contact with him.
