To provide an apt platform to the scientific temperament of the young ignited minds, DAV Public School Patiala organized ‘Explore Science’ an intra school exhibition, justifying the title around 250 students from the classes VI to X exhibited and traversed their skill by making concept based models, concerning their text books the event was divided into senior and junior categories during which enthusiastic students presented their creativity on the topics such as Rain Water Harvesting, Smart City Smart Village, Electricity Generating,Pollution etc. To make the event more colorful and informative a role playing by the students was also presented where in students played the part on many topics related to science such as Balanced Diet, Minerals, Vitamins etc.
Chief Guest of the day Principal S. R. Prabhakar while appreciating the creativity and capacity of the students quoted that “Today’s youth is enrolled and enriched with the practical learning, the only way to channelize their potential is to provide them with ample of opportunities to explore themselves, this exhibition is a small step in this accomplishing this goal”.
He further appreciated the efforts made by science faculty headed Neera Khurana on the success of the venture. The results of the event are as follows:
In Senior Category
Thermal power hydropower got I position, innovative smog device stood II, Waste management and word cliff tower shared III position whereas Automatic floor cleaner settled at consolation prize. This category was adjudged by Megha Narang, Madhu Khanna.
In Junior Category
Avoiding car obstacle and smart street light system shared I position whereas Smart village and theft alarm system got II and III positions respectively Helicopter vaccum cleaner and smart city shared consolation prizes. This category was adjudged by Parminder pal Kaur and Kirandeep Bawa.
In the entertaining platter of role playing Sohapreet got I position, II position was shared by Priyanshu and Vanshika and Gaurav Sharma got III position whereas Manya settled at consolation prize this competition was adjudged by Reeta Kapoor and Upasana Madaan.
The event concluded with the distribution of certificates by Principal S. R. Prabhakar along with Adv. Vinay Vatrana, LMC Member of the school and Yoginder Singh Jogi, Chairman Progressive Punjab Cell.
